On top of that it can save up to 90% of energy, does not contain hazardous materials such as phosphor lead or mercury, has a low heat output and is unbreakable. They will not start flickering or buzzing like the incandescent and fluorescent lighting can, and produce an even light which is gentle on the eyes.

Due to this reason, LED lighting is predicted to replace all the other lighting sources in the coming years.
